This is Laney's first horror novel.
It is said that when one door closes, another opens. In the Kingsley house, doors close, a lot. Perhaps that is due to the two hundred year old residents that already called Rain Hill Mansion home. Tyson Kingsley is faced with one challenge after another as he tries to save his family from the curses written in a journal two centuries prior. He races time, challenged to find the box containing the ashes of a voodoo priestess, as well as her descendants. Roots run deep. Sometimes, when doors slam shut, it is because they should never be opened. When they are opened, will Tyson cross that "Threshold?"
